Lynn James

Lynn has 40 years of experience in enterprise information technology use, development, and recovery, with the past 36 years being dedicated to enterprise resiliency disciplines. He is a CBCP certified professional and holds PMP (retired) and ITIL certifications.

After graduating from Angelo State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 1981, Lynn started his career working for Conoco as a Systems Programmer, focusing on IBM mainframe operating systems. While there, he was engaged reciprocal agreement Continuity of Operations with a peer oil company. In 1986, he joined Comdisco Disaster Recovery Services as a Systems Manager in their Texas recovery center where he supported hundreds of exercises, dozens of actual recoveries from major events, and designed/implemented advanced recovery solutions for customers. In 2001, as an independent consultant, he was engaged to design and implement internal recovery strategies for Fortune 100 companies. Prior to joining Fusion, he advised in the development, management, and validation of business and IT disaster recovery plans for a major financial services organization in San Antonio. In addition, he had the good fortune to be a part of the team tasked with developing, implementing, and manning an Enterprise Operations Center.

Lynn was fortunate to work with Fusion’s founders while he was employed at Comdisco. He was aware of their past knowledge, experience, and passion for resiliency and wanted to be a small part of their vision. He was able to accomplish this and joined the Fusion team in September of 2017. Today, as Senior Customer Success Manager, Lynn serves as a liaison and advocate for strategic customers. He partners with Fusion’s customers in meeting their resiliency goals and ensures that they are receiving maximum return on their investment in Fusion. His biggest accomplishment since working at Fusion has been assisting customers in building effective resilience and IT disaster recovery programs and helping guide their use during initial response to the pandemic.

Aside from work, Lynn has an amazing wife, four kids, six grandkids, two horses, and one Corgi! He also prefers to spend his leisure time on a skid steer or backhoe on the ranch.
