Prior to joining Fusion in March of 2021, Brooke was a Fortune 200 executive at MBNA America for 18 years. She was in financial services for 28 years before joining Venminder. In the financial services industry, she ran major operations (call centers) and specialized in compliance and risk management.
As Principal Solutions Manager of Third-Party Risk Management at Fusion, Brooke handles all things third party – primarily thought leadership and client involvement. She came into Fusion knowing she wanted to lead with a dedication to technology and risk management. She loves public speaking and writing, and her biggest accomplishment since working at Fusion has been being part of the FEMpowerment leadership team (Fusion’s Women’s Resource Group).
Prior to entering the workforce, Brooke earned her Bachelor of Arts in British Literature at Duke University (she is a self-proclaimed Shakespeare nut), attended the Graduate School of Compliance Management at IUPUI through the American Bankers Association, and is a graduate of the Retail Bank School at the University of Virginia.
Aside from work, Brooke is an avid cyclist, is transgender, and loves her family (including her three dogs Lady Macbeth, Tybalt, and Cordelia) immensely. She rode in the amateur version of the Tour de France (L’arrivee du Tour) in 2000. She is absolutely obsessed with anything space related and attended STS-135 (the final shuttle mission). She is also a crazy Duke fan and was an athletic trainer there for four years.
