Leveraging Resiliency Training at a Global Company to Ensure Business Continuity
Training videos are utilized to engage employees and ensure fulfillment of resiliency planning requirements
Snap Inc. shares how it utilizes the Fusion Framework® System™ to embed video directly into the Fusion platform, allowing its employees to play resiliency training courses while completing their business impact analyses.
Snap Inc. is a global company with employees across 27 countries, and its global resiliency team needed to educate those employees who do not work in a resilience role on a day-to-day basis on how to promptly and accurately complete business impact analyses (BIAs). These BIA surveys help Snap identify the maximum tolerable downtime for each of its processes, activities, and workflows, allowing the team to focus on creating response and recovery plans for functions that are critical to core product and service delivery. Snap partnered with Ripcord Solutions, intending to create an effective training program that would educate employees on their resilience requirements which they would keep track of within Fusion’s platform.
“When it comes to business continuity, it is essential that training is included – whether that is [focusing on] ‘what is business continuity?’ all the way to ‘how do I use this tool?’ for end users who may only engage with the tool once to twice a year.”
- Ron Reyes, Senior Manager of Global Resiliency at Snap Inc.
Through their partnership, Snap Inc. and Ripcord Solutions have been able to create a set of short-form training videos that engage and educate Snap’s workforce on the goals of its resilience program and that walk through a step-by-step process on how to complete BIAs. Fusion enables Snap to embed video directly into the Fusion platform so employees can play the training courses while they complete their BIAs.
