The Investment Association’s Operational Resilience Forum 2022

Thursday, February 24 | 7:00 am - 11:00 am

Topic: The IA Operational Resilience Forum 2022

Description: This event will bring together Heads of Operational Risk, Chief Operations Officers, and project leads from member firms to assess the maturity of operational resilience in our sector.

With the 31st March 2022 deadline imminent, firms will be expected to have identified their important business services, set impact tolerances, and performed end-to-end mapping and scenario testing to a sufficient level to conduct these activities. This forum will explore the key regulatory requirements firms should be preparing for ahead of this first deadline and, perhaps more significantly, the areas firms should consider beyond March 2022.

Attending this event will provide you with:

  • The necessary steps for firms ahead of the deadline and beyond to build their operational resilience
  • Insights into how operational resilience can be integrated into firms’ businesses holistically and bringing about a cultural shift to facilitate this
  • Expected developments within the international regulatory environment
  • Output from the IA’s Operational Resilience Committee

Fusion’s Global Head of Financial Service Go-To-Market Rich Cooper will take part in a “Beyond the March 2022 Deadline” panel session which will explore the key considerations firms should be thinking about as they look to build the sophistication of their operational resilience arrangements as we enter the transition period. All panel members include:

-Moderator: James King, Senior Policy Advisor, The Investment Association
-Rich Cooper, Global Head of Financial Service Go-To-Market, Fusion Risk Management, Inc.
-Will Ellis, Head of Governance and Reporting (Operational Resilience), M&G plc
-Gareth Jones, Head of Banking Services Operations (UK), BNP Paribas Securities Services
-Alexandra Ringer, Business Risk and Resilience Director, Ruffer LLP and Chair of the IA’s Operational Resilience Committee

Time: The entire forum will take place from 7:00-11:00 a.m. CT/1:00-5:00 p.m. GMT. The “Beyond the March 2022 Deadline” panel session will take place from 10:05-10:50 a.m. CT/4:05-4:50 p.m. GMT.
