Fusion Risk Management, Inc. (“Fusion”), a leading provider of business continuity and risk management software and services, today announced that its Founder and Strategic Advisor David Nolan has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) Awards of Excellence.
“I was so happy to see David’s accomplishments acknowledged by so many of his friends and admirers at the awards gala,” said Disaster Recovery Institute International Chairman of The Board Al Berman. “He is arguably one of the pioneers in the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery industry. Over the course of 30 years David has been instrumental in driving innovation to a full spectrum of products and services, all of which have helped to create more robust and resilient businesses and supply chains.”
The Disaster Recovery Institute International’s Awards of Excellence honors the leaders and innovators in the fields of continuity management, technology recovery, and crisis and risk management. The Lifetime Achievement Award, which was voted on online by DRI Certified Professionals, honors the most experienced professional in the industry for his or her work over the course of their career. The winner of this award every year is well-regarded in the industry and has a track record of professional success and respect from peers in the field.
“I am honored to receive the DRI Lifetime Achievement Award, and I am thrilled I’ve been able to help build the business continuity solutions of tomorrow that bring resiliency to the forefront for organizations around the world.” said Nolan. “My passion has always been to extend the boundaries of what is possible through innovation. I founded Fusion with the idea that customer success required new and better methods and technologies. Today, Fusion continues to be an industry vanguard, delivering solutions that help customers solve the myriad challenges posed in an evolving risk landscape.”
David has more than 35 years of experience in technology related businesses, much of which focused on providing technology, software, and services to help organizations effectively, efficiently, and economically manage operational risk. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and was awarded with the BCI Gifted Grades MBCI designation in 2015 in recognition of his contributions to the industry.
David and Fusion’s honor by DRII Awards comes following many years of recognition for the company. In the past year alone, Fusion has been recognized as Most Innovative by the Corporate Livewire Excellence Awards, Deloitte Technology Fast 500, Top Workplace by Chicago Tribune, Top Place to Work 2019 by Built in Chicago, and a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for the fourth time. Fusion has also been shortlisted for Most Innovative Product, Specialist Company of the Year, and Best Contribution to Continuity & Resilience in the 2020 CIR Business Continuity Awards.
